Ann Goldberg: Hyperclarity
December 3rd- January 16th, 2016

Winsor Gallery is pleased to announce a solo exhibition of new work by Vancouver based, hyperrealist painter, Ann Goldberg. The exhibition entitled "Hyperclarity” runs from December 3rd – January 16th 2016. An opening will be held on the evening of Thursday December 3rd, from 6-8pm; Ann Goldberg will be in attendance. Hyperclarity showcases Goldberg’s oil on canvas paintings, as well as, an exciting body of new mixed media works.

Photography plays a pivotal role in both bodies of work. Often compared to Mary Pratt for her technical brilliance, Goldberg ‘s paintings render a realistic image that reflects the altered reality that photography can induce. Goldberg says, that her work “focuses on the axioms of beauty and time, the uncountable and the countable, painting and photography, lightness and darkness, and the tensions between these concepts.” She is interested in the relationships and interactions these ideas bring forth. At times they are dichotomous and at other times they intersect and interact.
